The Blue Dragon (Japanese: セイリュウ, Seiryuu) is a Water attribute creature and a Summons type card introduced in Lost Kingdoms. It is one of the four Sacred Beasts.

The Blue Dragon resides in Terjon Temple. It doesn't challenge the player directly, but instead tests them using a Kraken to battle.

Appearance[]

The Blue Dragon is a bipedal, turquoise aquatic dragon. It holds a spherical, orange magic jewel in its hands. Instead of having wings, the Blue Dragon has fins.

The Blue Dragon has glowing red eyes in the art for its card in both Lost Kingdoms and Lost Kingdoms II, but its model has normal green eyes. In Lost Kingdoms II, all enemy monsters have a red glowing effect added to their eyes, so the illustration for the Blue Dragon card in the same game is partly accurate.

Obtainability[]

  • Automatically obtained by defeating the Kraken at Terjon Temple for the first time
  • By copying one using 5000 EXP

Strategies[]

?

As a Card[]

The Blue Dragon, once summoned, heal the player and all allies completely, then restore any and all discarded or used cards.

It cannot be used under 2 Player Fair Play.

As a Monster[]

The Blue Dragon does not appear as an enemy monster.

The Blue Dragon (Japanese: セイリュウ, Seiryuu) returns in Lost Kingdoms II. It retains both the Water attribute and the Summons type.

The Blue Dragon is one of the four Sacred Beasts. This dragon and the other Sacred Beasts are ruled by the Emperor. It can be fought in Level 20 of the Proving Grounds, where the other Sacred Beasts and their leader are found.

Obtainability[]

  • By upgrading a Brine Dragon card with 35000 EXP
  • By capturing one in Level 20 of the Proving Grounds.
  • By choosing one in the Level Bonus for Level 20 of the Proving Grounds. Only 1 Blue Dragon card is available. This Level Bonus can be accessed whenever the Level is cleared with at least 1 rating star.
  • By importing Blue Dragon cards from a Lost Kingdoms save file after clearing Sacred Battle Arena 2. The option to import cards can only be taken once.
  • By copying one for 54000 EXP, but only in RUNE II, the Japanese version of Lost Kingdoms II. This card cannot be copied in the US and PAL versions.

As a Monster[]

The Blue Dragon as an enemy is dangerous for the attack range of its Sacred Light skill, which causes it to shoot a large beam from the gem it carries. Additionally, since it is found in the Proving Grounds, the Blue Dragon will be accompanied by the other Sacred Beasts, which makes it more of a challenge. Using Devata cards can help Tara sneak past some of the rooms the Blue Dragon and the other Sacred Beasts are in, but she will eventually be locked in a room where she has to face them all at once.

When dealing with the room where Tara must defeat all four Sacred Beasts, it might be best to use a Berserk Master card, as the Berserk Master will cause all monsters to become hostile to each other. Since the Blue Dragon and all other the Sacred Beasts are powerful foes, they will most likely cause massive damage to each other when affected by his ability. Using Devata cards will also work well with this strategy, as while the Berserk Master is active, the stealthiness of the Devata card can be used to avoid being harmed by the Berserk Master and the Sacred Beasts, and it also makes it easier to collect the Magic Stones that are dropped from the enemy monsters as they take damage.

However, the Berserk Master strategy does have a few drawbacks. The Berserk Master does not distinguish between friend and foe, and if any other Independent or Helper type cards are active, they won't, either. Additionally, in RUNE II, the Japanese version of Lost Kingdoms II, this strategy is not as effective as it is in the US and PAL versions. The stats for the card form of the Berserk Master were altered, so he has less defense and a shorter lifespan. This shortens the time his ability, now a Unique Skill, can be active. He was also changed to a Helper type, so the Z-Effect cannot increase his attack power in RUNE II.
